Where We’ve Been

Right now we’re in: Eugene, Oregon

Since Google Maps will only allow 200 placemarks per map, we’ve had to split our “Where We’ve Been” map into two pieces. Below are all the places we’ve stayed on this leg of the trip (after the winter in Hawaii, before the winter in Oregon). For a map of the first leg of our trip (Oklahoma to New York), click here.

    Aaron,
When will you be in Iowa? My daughter Donna Hoffman is in Cedar Falls, will you be close to there?? She is professor of Political Science at Northern Iowa University. She would be your cousin once removed. Give her a call.

    how are you doing?

It feels great to know that you have already crossed about NINE states… so how is everything going? when are you coming to Florida? I am in Tampa and am very eager to welcome you.

    Hi fellow cyclists,
We have followed your adventure since I met you last year coming through Illinois. I see that your last date was 6/14/08 where you posted ‘Aaron got sick’. I truly hope it is not serious! It has been fun reading your stories, especially the areas I am most familiar with!

Please know we are sending good healing energy your way!! Ride safely!

Hi you two adventurers! You are in a state that I love. I love the Bend-Redmond-Prineville area. Maybe you’ll be going right by Smith Rocks State Park. That’s worth a stop. What a geologic wonder… If you need any contacts in Portland, let me know.

I think of your trip almost daily.

I was just looking to see were you are. We will be in Oregon in a week or so and I thought I’d look to see if our paths will cross. We met you May 13-14th: Camping at Sam Houston Jones State Park in Moss Bluff. Ed and I were from Canada in the 1969
    White VW van. Cheers Donna

Hello fellow cyclists! The pictures are lovely and really inticing (sp?)to travel out to the west coast. So catch us up on your latest adventures. Aaron, did you get the job at Burley? Where are you staying now? I know this winter will be different then last one but still different from a ‘typical’ Okie winter too! Can’t wait to hear. Glad to see that Laura got her ‘own wheels’ too!
    Enjoy the winter

Hello again from Wisconsin! I was showing my Thailand exchange student your website tonight and finding out where you two are. This map section is really informative and i never spotted it before. What will you be doing in Oregon this winter? I wish for you a wonderful rest/winter and best of luck on the final leg of your jouney next year. The pictures of the western states are AWESOME…it’s been a few years since I’ve been to the mountains. You made me lonesome for them. Again, have a great holiday/winter time. Rita Fox
